Apple Souffle Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 C. all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 C. fat free egg substitute
- 2 C. skim milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp unsalted margarine
- 6 apples, peeled and sliced thin
- 3 tbsp light brown sugar, firmly packed
Method
- Set your oven to 425 degrees F before doing anything else
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt
- Make a well in the center of flour mixture
- Add the milk, egg substitute and vanilla in the well and beat until well combined
- In a 13×9-inch baking dish, add the margarine
- Place the baking dish in the oven for about 3 minutes
- Add the apples and gently, stir to coat
- Cook in the oven for about 5 minutes
- Place the egg mixture over the apples evenly and sprinkle with the brown sugar
- Cook in the oven for about 5 minutes
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately
