Apple Souffle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 C. fat free egg substitute
  • 2 C. skim milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp unsalted margarine
  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced thin
  • 3 tbsp light brown sugar, firmly packed

Method

  1. Set your oven to 425 degrees F before doing anything else
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt
  3. Make a well in the center of flour mixture
  4. Add the milk, egg substitute and vanilla in the well and beat until well combined
  5. In a 13×9-inch baking dish, add the margarine
  6. Place the baking dish in the oven for about 3 minutes
  7. Add the apples and gently, stir to coat
  8. Cook in the oven for about 5 minutes
  9. Place the egg mixture over the apples evenly and sprinkle with the brown sugar
  10. Cook in the oven for about 5 minutes
  11. Remove from the oven and serve immediately
