Sour Cream Pot Roast Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds (1.8 kg) beef chuck roast
  • garlic clove, cut in half
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ cup (65 g) chopped carrot
  • ½ cup (50 g) chopped celery
  • ½ cup (80 g) sliced onion
  • ¾ cup (180 g) sour cream
  • 2 tbsps (24 g) flour
  • ½ cup (120 ml) dry white wine

Method

  1. Rub roast with garlic
  2. Season with pepper
  3. Place in slow cooker
  4. Add carrots, celery, and onion
  5. Combine sour cream, flour, and wine
  6. Pour into slow cooker
  7. Cover and cook on low 6 to 7 hours
  8. Yield: 8 servings
  9. Per serving: 186 g water; 538 calories (36% from fat, 60% from protein, 4% from carb)
