Ingredients
- 4 -5 medium croissants (baked)
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz. butter, softened
- 3/4 C. maple syrup, divided
- 10 eggs
- 3 C. half-and-half milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- powdered sugar
- chopped pecans
Topping:
- 4 oz. butter
- 1/2 C. maple syrup
Method
- Chop the croissants roughly
- Divide the chopped croissants into a greased 13X9-inch casserole dish
- In a bowl, add the butter, cream cheese and 1/3 C of the maple syrup ad mix until well combined
- In another large bowl, add the eggs, 1/2 C of the maple syrup and half-and-half and beat until well combined
- Place the butter mixture over the chopped croissants evenly and top with the egg mixture
- Sprinkle with the cinnamon and refrigerate, covered overnight
- Set your oven to 350 degrees F
- Uncover the casserole dish and cook in the oven for about 45-50 minutes
- Remove from the oven and keep onto a ire rack for about 5-10 minutes
Meanwhile, .For the sauce: in small pan, add 1/2 C of the butter and 1/2 C of the maple syrup and cook until heated through
- Remove from the heat and pour over the sauce over the warm souffle evenly
- Serve with a topping of the powdered sugar and pecans
