Fudgy Chocolate Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

Makes about 1 cup

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup plain or vanilla soy milk
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Method

  1. In small saucepan, combine the sugar, cocoa and cornstarch, stirring until blended
  2. Stir in the soymilk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil
  3. Continue cooking and stirring until thickened and smooth
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla
  5. Serve warm
  6. Store leftover sauce covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
