Easy Basic Meatballs Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds (1.3 kg) extra-lean ground beef
  • 150 ml fat-free evaporated milk
  • 1 cup (80 g) rolled or quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup (100 g) cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup (120 ml) egg substitute
  • ½ cup (80 g) chopped onion
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients
  2. Shape into walnut-sized balls
  3. Place on waxed paper-lined cookie sheets
  4. Freeze
  5. When fully frozen, place in a resealable plastic bag and store in freezer until needed
  6. When ready to use, place frozen meatballs in slow cooker
  7. Cover and cook on high as you mix up the sauce or whatever accompaniment you are using
  8. Yield: 12 servings
  9. Per serving: 96 g water; 322 calories (58% from fat, 31% from protein, 11% from carb)
