Date Nut Oatmeal Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups (570 ml) skim milk
  • 1 cup (80 g) rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup (119 g) chopped dates
  • ½ cup (55 g) chopped pecans
  • ½ cup (120 ml) half and half
  • ¼ cup (60 g) brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Method

  1. Spray the inside of the slow cooker lightly with nonstick cooking spray
  2. Mix together all of the ingredients in a bowl
  3. Pour into slow cooker
  4. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours
  5. Yield: 4 servings
  6. Per serving: 170 g water; 411 calories (32% from fat, 11% from protein, 57% from carb)
