Basic Cheese Souffle Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 medium sweet onions, chopped
- 5 slices fresh bread, cut into cubes
- 10 oz. evaporated milk
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 C. shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
Method
- Set your oven to 350 degrees F before doing anything else and lightly, grease a 1 1/2-quart souffle dish
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and saute the onions for about 10-15 minutes
- Remove from the heat and transfer the onions into a large bowl
- Add the bread cubes, eggs, milk, 3/4 C of the cheese and salt and stir to combine place the mixture into prepared souffle dish and top with the remaining 1/4 C of the cheese
- Cook in the oven for about 25 minutes
