Ingredients
- 4 pounds (1.8 kg) apples, pared, cored, and sliced
- ½ cup (100 g) sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup (235 ml) water
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice
Method
- Place apples in slow cooker
- Combine sugar and cinnamon and mix with apples
- Blend in water and lemon juice
- Cover and cook on low 5 to 7 hours or on high 2½ to 3½ hours
- Yield: 8 servings
- Per serving: 228 g water; 158 calories (2% from fat, 1% from protein, 97% from carb)
