Chocolate Brownies

Saucepan Brownies Recipe
Ingredients
- Serving Size : 1
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine
- 2 tablespoons water
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate pieces
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 Eggs
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup nuts.
Method
- Stir baking soda and salt into flour and set aside.
- In saucepan combine sugar, butter and water.
- Over medium heat bring just to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat; stir in chocolate and vanilla until melted and smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each, then stir in flour mixture.
- Stir in half the nuts and pour into greased 8x8x2 inch baking pan.
- Sprinkle with remaining nuts and bake in preheated 325 degree oven or until edges are firm-looking and center is shiny.
- Cool on rack.
- Cut in 2″ squares.
