Old-Fashioned Cream Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 1
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Eggs – unbeaten
  • heavy cream.
  • 1 cup sugar

Method

  1. Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt and sift together three times.
  2. To eggs, in cup, add enough cream to fill cup.
  3. Beat with rotary beater, adding sugar, then flour.
  4. Bake in two greased 9 inch layer pans in moderate oven (375 degrees) 25 minutes.
  5. Put layers together and cover top with whipped cream.
