Nans Peach Chutney Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 1
  • 5 Cups Peaches – peeled and chopped
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Vinegar
  • 4 1/2 Ounces Crystallized Ginger
  • 4 Ounces Candied Lemon Peel – diced, or
  • candied Orange Peel.
  • 4 Ounces Raisins
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Curry Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Cloves

Method

  1. Slivered Almonds – optional
  2. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, for 45 minutes.
  5. Pour immediately into hot sterilized jars.
  6. Seal tightly.
  7. Good served with: Meats and poultry or spread on warm crusts rolls.
  8. Makes 5 cups.
