Low Fat Garlic Crostini Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound day-old french bread, cut into 1/4-inch slices , 16 slices
  • 1 clove garlic, cut in half
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Method

  • Place oven rack 6 inches from broiler.
  • Preheat broiler.
  • Rub bread slices with garlic and lightly brush both sides with olive oil.
  • Place on a baking sheet and broil until light golden and crisp, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  • Watch carefully to avoid burning.
  • Alternatively, toast the bread in a 375°F oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
