Keto Deep Fried Cheese Curds Recipe

Ingredients

Servings 2

  • 1 package cheese curds (or cheese sticks)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • vegetable oil

Method

  1. Begin by whipping your egg whites, garlic powder, and heavy cream in a bowl
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together your almond flour and parmesan
  3. Take your cheese curd (or cheese sticks cut into four) and dip them in the egg mixture, coating evenly
  4. Dip your curd into the almond flour mixture
  5. Repeat steps three and four with that SAME curd
  6. Set aside on a plate and do the same for the rest of your cheese
  7. Place your plate of cheese curds into the freezer for half an hour
  8. With 7 minutes left in the freezer, fill a frying pan with about one inch of oil
  9. Heat it up the oil
  10. Take your curds out and place them into the fryer, one by one
  11. Flip them once the bottom is browned
  12. Leave them in for only 2-3 minutes, or until brown
  13. Drain the grease and serve with a chipotle aioli!
