Impossible Green Bean Pie Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 6
  • 8 ounces fresh green beans – cut lengthwise
  • 1 can mushroom pieces – drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic – crushed
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese – shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup Bisquick. baking mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Method

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Grease 10″ pie plate.
  3. Heat beans and 1″ salted water (1/2 tsp salt to 1 cup water) to boiling.
  4. Cook uncovered 5 minutes.
  5. Cover and cook until tender, 5 to 10 minutes; drain.
  6. Mix beans, mushrooms, onion, garlic and cheese in plate.
  7. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth, 15 seconds in blender on high or 1 minute with hand beater.
  8. Pour into plate.
  9. Bake until knife inserted between center and edge comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.
  10. Cool 5 minutes.
