Ingredients

  • 3 pounds (1.3 kg) beef round roast
  • 475 ml low-salt beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons (15 g) onion soup mix
  • 355 ml beer

Method

  1. Place roast in a slow cooker
  2. Add the beef broth, onion soup, and beer
  3. Cook on low for 7 hours
  4. Slice the meat on the diagonal to serve
  5. Yield: 12 servings
  6. Per serving: 148 g water; 160 calories (26% from fat, 71% from protein, 3% from carb)
