Cranberry Orange Meatballs Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps (28 ml) olive oil
  • 1 cup (160 g) finely chopped onion
  • 1 pound (455 g) jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 pound (455 g) meatballs, basic or turkey
  • 1 teaspoon orange peel

Method

  1. In small saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat and saute onion
  2. Stir cranberry sauce into saucepan
  3. Heat on low until melted
  4. Combine cranberry mixture and remaining ingredients in slow cooker
  5. Cover and cook on low 2 to 4 hours
  6. Yield: 4 servings
  7. Per serving: 173 g water; 491 calories (40% from fat, 16% from protein, 44% from carb)
