Ingredients
- 4 slices low-salt bacon, diced
- ¼ cup (40 g) chopped onion
- 2-3 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 pound (455 g) frozen corn
- 1 tbsp (13 g) sugar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ cup (120 ml) water
- 1 cup (235 ml) skim milk
- 170g crab meat
Method
- In skillet, brown bacon until crisp
- Remove bacon, reserving drippings
- Add onions and potatoes to skillet and saute for 5 minutes
- Drain
- Combine all ingredients in slow cooker except milk and crab meat
- Mix well
- Cover and cook on low 6 to 7 hours
- Stir in milk and crab during the last 30 minutes of cooking
- Yield: 4 servings
- Per serving: 336 g water; 364 calories (15% from fat, 22% from protein, 62% from carb)
