Ingredients
- 2 lb. dried codfish
- 6 potatoes, white
- 3 eggs
- 1 onion
- 1/4 c. parsley
- 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. water
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
Method
- Soak codfish overnight
- Take skin and bones out
- Cut codfish into 3 inches long and 2 inches wide fillets
- Beat eggs and dip codfish in eggs and then roll in flour and fry
- Cook white potatoes with skin and let cool off
- Cut in round slices and do as in number 3
- Sauteed onion, 1 cup water and 1 tablespoon flour dissolved like gravy
- Add salt, also Tabasco sauce, lemon juice, beat egg yolks and mix all together
- Then put in pyrex in layers
- Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes
