Chocolate-Lemon Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
- Serving Size : 1
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine – softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 Eggs
- 9 ounces semisweet chocolate – grated, see note
- grated peel of 1 lemon.
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Method
- Stir together flour and baking soda; set aside.
- Cream butter, sugar and salt until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time until well blended.
- Stir in chocolate and lemon peel.
- Stir in flour mixture alternately with sour cream until well blended.
- Pour into greased and floured 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
- Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 60 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool pan on rack 10 minutes, then turn out on rack top side up to cool.
