Caramel Corn Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 1
  • 6 cups popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup almonds slivered – toasted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar – packed
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Method

  1. MICROWAVE: Combine popcorn and almonds in large micro safe bowl.
  2. In 4 cup micro safe cup, combine brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt.
  3. Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes; stir.
  4. Microwave on HIGH for 2-3 more minutes or until mixture comes to a rolling boil.
  5. Stir in baking soda; pour over popcorn and almonds.
  6. Mix well; microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes.
  7. Spread on foil or wax paper to cool.
