Ingredients
- 1 pound (900 g) smoked sausage
- 1 cup (235 ml) beer
- ¼ cup (60 g) brown sugar
- 2 tbsps (16 g) cornstarch
- ¼ cup (60 ml) vinegar
- ¼ cup (44 g) mustard
- 1 tbsp (15 g) horseradish
Method
- Cut sausage into ½-inch (1
- 3 cm) lengths
- Boil them in beer for 10 minutes
- Transfer to slow cooker
- Mix brown sugar with cornstarch
- Add to vinegar, mustard, and horseradish
- Stir into slow cooker and cook on high for 2 hours
- Yield: 16 servings
- Per serving: 53 g water; 156 calories (60% from fat, 20% from protein, 19% from carb)
