Beer Sausages Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (900 g) smoked sausage
  • 1 cup (235 ml) beer
  • ¼ cup (60 g) brown sugar
  • 2 tbsps (16 g) cornstarch
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) vinegar
  • ¼ cup (44 g) mustard
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) horseradish

Method

  1. Cut sausage into ½-inch (1
  2. 3 cm) lengths
  3. Boil them in beer for 10 minutes
  4. Transfer to slow cooker
  5. Mix brown sugar with cornstarch
  6. Add to vinegar, mustard, and horseradish
  7. Stir into slow cooker and cook on high for 2 hours
  8. Yield: 16 servings
  9. Per serving: 53 g water; 156 calories (60% from fat, 20% from protein, 19% from carb)
