Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 6
  • 2 cups unbleached flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups hot applesauce

Method

  1. Sift together all the dry ingredients, add nuts and raisins.
  2. Stir in the oil, vanilla and hot applesauce.
  3. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes or until done
