Almond Loaf Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 1
  • 2 Cups Bisquick. Baking Mix
  • 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Butter – firm
  • 1/2 Cup Almonds – sliced
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3/4 Cup Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Almond Extract

Method

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour bottom of loaf pan.
  3. Mix baking mix, flour and sugar; cut in margarine until mixture resembles cornmeal.
  4. Stir almonds and cinnamon into 1/2 of the margarine mixture in small bowl; reserve.
  5. Stir eggs, milk, vanilla and almond extract into remaining margarine mixture.
  6. Batter will be lumpy.
  7. Pour about half of the batter into pan; sprinkle with half of the almond mixture.
  8. Pour remaining batter into pan; sprinkle with remaining almond mixture.
  9. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center of loaf comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes.
  10. Cool 5 minutes.
  11. Loosen sides of loaf pan; remove from pan.
  12. Cool completely before slicing.
