Enchilada Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 lb. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 stick margarine or butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 pkg. yeast cakes
Method
- Mix eggs and sugar together, then flour and salt
- Melt margarine with milk
- Dissolve yeast in a little warm water or milk
- With clean hands, mix all together, using rolling and kneading action
- Add melted mixture gradually
- Knead the dough gently
- Rub shortening over top
- Cover with towel to keep warm to help rise more quickly
- Keep in warm place
- When dough is risen, separate into baking pans (greased)
- Make a ball of dough in center of pan
- Let rise again, then bake at 325 degrees for about 60 minutes or until golden brown
