Lime Green Tea Mug Cake Recipe
Ingredients
Recipe for: Lime Green Tea Microwave Mug Cake (MMC)
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoon oil
Green Tea: Boil five tablespoons of water and steep a green tea teabag in it for five minutes then remove the teabag
- 3 tablespoons of green tea into batter
- discard any remaining tea
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons lime instant gelatin powder unprepared
- 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Method
- Grease the mug lightly with butter, margarine, oil or cooking spray
- Use a small bowl to mix ingredients
- Beat the egg with a fork then mix in the rest of the liquid ingredients
- Add the dry ingredients and mix well
- Pour the batter into the mug, no more than halfway
- Smooth the top with a spoon if you intend to frost your lime green tea mug cake
- Place a damp cloth on the work surface and bang the mug gently but firmly five or six times to remove air bubbles
- Put the mug on a small plate in the microwave and your mug cake is ready to bake
- Cook your mug cake for 3 to 4 mins according to your microwave and personal taste
- Is it done? Insert a small sharp knife into middle of the mug cake
- If the knife comes out clean, the mug-cake is done
- Wait 2 mins, then use a blunt knife to loosen the mug cake and turn it onto plate
- Position the mug cake so that the slightly rounded top is on top
- Your Lime Green Tea Mug Cake should look a bit like a large muffin
Variation.Frost the Mug Cake with vanilla frosting, or carefully cut the mug cake in two, and frost each half individually
- Decorate, if you wish, with small candies such as gumdrops
