Vegan Worcestershire Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
Makes about ¾ cup
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon dark molasses
- 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground kelp or dulse
- 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne
Method
- Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, then remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature
- Transfer to a jar or other container with a tight-fitting lid and store in the refrigerator
- Properly stored, the sauce will keep for 1 month
