Ingredients
Makes about 1 cup
- 1/2 cup pure agave nectar or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons plain or vanilla soy milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Method
- In a small saucepan, combine the agave nectar and cocoa, stirring until well combined
- Bring to a simmer over low heat, cooking for about 1 minute, stirring constantly so the cocoa does not burn
- Remove from heat and stir in the soy milk and vanilla, stirring until well blended
- The sauce is now ready to spoon or drizzle on desserts
- Store leftover sauce covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
