Sweet And Sour Party Meat Balls Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 1
  • 1 pound ground round
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 2 eggs – beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 drops hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 green pepper – diced
  • 20 ounces pineapple chunks in syrup – drained
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce

Method

  1. Combine first 7 ingredients.
  2. Mixing well.
  3. Shape into 1″ balls.
  4. Brown in butter over medium heat, drain.
  5. Place meatballs in a 13x9x2 inch baking dish.
  6. Combine cornstarch, vinegar and sugar in a medium saucepan.
  7. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until clear and thickened.
  8. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  9. Pour over meatballs.
  10. Bake at 300 degree for 40 minutes.
  11. Yield about 6 dozen meatballs.
