Strawberry Bread Pudding Slow Cooker Recipe
Ingredients
- 250 g cubed French bread
- 2½ cups (570 ml) skim milk
- 2 scalded egg yolks
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsps (28 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 340g strawberries, at room temperature
Method
- Place the bread cubes in the slow cooker
- Whisk together the milk, egg yolks, sugar, vanilla, and butter
- Stir in the berries and pour over the bread cubes
- Gently press the bread down into the liquid (do not stir) and cook, covered, on low for 4 to 6 hours
- Yield: 6 servings
- Per serving: 170 g water; 410 calories (16% from fat, 12% from protein, 71% from carb)
