Spinach Lamb Curry Indian Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serves: 8
  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 6 cups baby spinach
  • 3 lbs lamb meat, boneless and cut into pieces
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • salt

Method

  1. Heat oil in the pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and onions to the pan and saute for 5 minutes.
  3. Add turmeric, cayenne, cumin, and ginger and saute for 1 minute.
  4. Add broth to the pan and stir well.
  5. Add meat into the slow cooker with salt.
  6. Pour pan mixture over the meat.
  7. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
  8. Just before serving add spinach and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes.
  9. Add yogurt and stir well.
  10. Serve and enjoy.
