Spicy Jalapeno Popper Chaffles Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Cream cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tbsp Bacon bits
  • 1/2 tbsp Jalapenos
  • 1/4 tsp Gluten-free baking powder (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat your waffle iron
  2. You want it hot so that when the batter hits the pan, it starts cooking
  3. Gently melt the cream cheese
  4. You can melt the cream cheese in the microwave or a double boiler
  5. It doesn’t need to be piping hot, just warm so that you can stir it
  6. Mix the chaffle batter
  7. Stir together all your chaffle ingredients
  8. Cook your chaffle
  9. Pour the batter into the waffle maker to cover the surface well
  10. Cook until browned and crispy, about 3-4 minutes
  11. The best crispy chaffles tend to have a thicker batter
