Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 4 L milk, heated
- 1 cup (140 g) cornmeal
- 1 cup (340 g) dark molasses
- ¼ cup (50 g) sugar
- ¼ cup (55 g) unsalted butter
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup (120 ml) egg substitute
Method
- Mix half of hot milk with rest of ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat and heat to boiling
- Add rest of milk
- Transfer to slow cooker
- Cook for 6 hours on low
- Yield: 6 servings
- Per serving: 257 g water; 462 calories (18% from fat, 11% from protein, 72% from carb)
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
