Simple Beef Brisket Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds (1 3 kg) beef brisket, trimmed and cut in half
  • 1 cup (240 g) low-salt ketchup
  • 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
  • 2 tbsps (28 ml) cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) horseradish
  • 1 tbsp (11 g) mustard
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Method

  1. Place the brisket in a slow cooker
  2. In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients
  3. Pour over brisket
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until tender
  5. Slice the meat across the grain; serve with sauce
  6. Yield: 10 servings
  7. Per serving: 135 g water; 205 calories (24% from fat, 60% from protein, 16% from carb)
