- 6 ounces cheddar; sharp, cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
Method
- Put the cheddar cheese in the top of a double boiler.
- Place over simmering water and stir gently until the cheese begins to melt.
- Add the milk gradually, while stirring constantly.
- Continue to stir constantly until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Serve piping hot over warm apple pie.
