Ingredients
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 lb. white, boneless fish (chunked)
- salt fish and let stand for a few hours
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 fresh lemon
- 1 (19 oz can tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp crushed sweet pepper (Hungarian paprika)
- salt & pepper to taste.
- 1/2 bunch parsley
- 1/2 c white wine or water
- 1 1/2 c water
Method
- Brown onions in the olive oil
- Add remaining ingredients except for the fish and continue to simmer for 30 minutes
- Add fish and continue to cook until fish flakes
- Serve in deep soup bowl over Italian or French bread
- Serve 4 large servings
- Freezes well
