Paneer Bhurji Indian
Ingredients
- 2 blocks Paneer, crumbled coarsely
- 2 finely chopped medium onions
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp chopped green chillies
- 1 chopped tomato
- 4-5 cashewnuts, cut into small bits
- 1 green bell pepper cut into thin strips
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp red chilli powder
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp ghee(clarified butter) for frying
Method
- Heat ghee in a heavy saucepan.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for one minute.
- Add the cashewnuts, onions , green chillies and bell pepper and stir fry till the onions turn color.
- Add the tomatoes and keep frying till the tomatoes turn mushy.
- Add all the dry powders and fry for one minute.
- Add the crumbled paneer, salt and the lemon juice.
- Mix well, heat through and eat hot with naan or chapathi.
