Mushroom Pot Roast Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (455 g) mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 pounds (1.3 kg) beef round roast
  • 2 tbsps (15 g) onion soup mix
  • 12 ounces (355 ml) beer
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Place the mushrooms in the bottom of a slow cooker and then set the roast on top of the mushrooms
  2. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the beef and pour the beer over everything; season with black pepper
  3. Cover and cook on low 9 to 10 hours or until the meat easily pulls apart with a fork
  4. Yield: 9 servings
  5. Per serving: 192 g water; 221 calories (25% from fat, 69% from protein, 6% from carb)
  6. Serve over mashed potatoes
