Meatball Nibblers Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (900 g) meatballs, basic or turkey
  • 1 cup (240 g) low-salt ketchup
  • 1 cup (225 g) packed brown sugar
  • 1 can (6 ounces, or 170 g) no-salt-added tomato paste
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C, or gas mark 4)
  2. Place frozen meatballs on baking sheet
  3. Bake for 18 minutes or until brown
  4. Place meatballs in slow cooker
  5. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meatballs
  6. Cover and cook on low 4 hours
  7. Yield: 6 servings
  8. Per serving: 157 g water; 533 calories (34% from fat, 21% from protein, 45% from carb)
