Lemon Cut-Out Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

• Serving Size : 1
• 1/2 cup butter or margarine – softened
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1 Egg
• 2 3/4 cups unsifted flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup ReaLemon Reconstituted Lemon Juice

Method

1. Colored sugar or Lemon Icing
2. In large mixer bowl, cream together butter and sugar; beat in egg.
3. Stir dry ingredients together; add alternately with ReaLemon to creamed mixture.
4. Mix well.
5. Dough will be soft.
6. Chill overnight.
7. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
8. On well-floured surface, roll out 1/3 of dough to 1/8″ thickness; chill remaining dough.
9. Cut out cookies with floured cutters; sprinkle with colored sugar if desired.
10. Place 1″ apart on greased baking sheets.
11. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
12. Cool, Ice and decorate if desired.
