Ingredients

  • 6 pounds (2.7 kg) boneless, skinless chickee
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 cup (24 g) grated ginger
  • 4 teaspoons purchased garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) lime juice
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. Put the chicken, onion, and garlic in a slow cooker
  2. In a bowl, stir together the remaining ingredients
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken
  4. Cover the slow cooker, set it to low, and let it cook for 6 to 7 hours
  5. Serve with Major Greys Chutney

Makes 12 servings
