Hungarian Goulash Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 6
  • 2 pounds cubed boneless beef
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 2 slices onion
  • 1 clove garlic – minced
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/4 cup Heinz 57 Sauce

Method

  1. Hot buttered noodles
  2. In Dutch oven brown beef in shortening.
  3. Stir in sliced onions, garlic, paprika and salt; saut until onions are tender.
  4. Add water, Heinz 57 sauce.
  5. Cover; simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until meat is tender.
  6. Thicken sauce with flour/water mixture, if desired.
  7. Serve over hot buttered noodles.
