Healthy Gingerbread Recipe
Ingredients
- Serving Size : 9
- 1 cup new Orleans molasses (dark)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 1/2 cups flour – unsifted
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Method
- Blend together the first 7 ingle and stir in the boiling water
- Mix in the unsifted flour.
- Dissolve the baking soda in 2 tbsp of hot water; add to batter
- Pour into a greased 8x8x2″ cake pan.
- Bake 30 min at 350F
