Healthy Gingerbread Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 9
  • 1 cup new Orleans molasses (dark)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 1/2 cups flour – unsifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Method

  1. Blend together the first 7 ingle and stir in the boiling water
  2. Mix in the unsifted flour.
  3. Dissolve the baking soda in 2 tbsp of hot water; add to batter
  4. Pour into a greased 8x8x2″ cake pan.
  5. Bake 30 min at 350F
