Goulash Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (455 g) extra-lean ground beef, browned
  • 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ cup (120 g) low-salt ketchup
  • 2 tbsps (28 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) brown sugar
  • 2 tsps paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 cup (235 ml) water

Method

  1. Place meat in slow cooker
  2. Cover with onions
  3. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat
  4. Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours
  5. Yield: 8 servings
  6. Per serving: 95 g water; 167 calories (53% from fat, 27% from protein, 20% from carb)

Serve over noodles or rice
