Easy Fondant Icing

Ingredients

Makes 10 :Servings .:

  • 7 cup icing sugar sifted
  • 1 1/2 tbs glycerine
  • 1/2 cup glucose syrup
  • 1 tbs gelatine powder
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Method

  1. Sift the icing sugar into a large non-metal bowl and then make a well in the centre
  2. In a small saucepan, add water and gelatine
  3. Over a low heat, dissolve the gelatine
  4. Do not let it boil
  5. How to use gelatine powder
  6. Remove saucepan from the heat and add the glycerine and glucose syrup
  7. Stir until combined well, then add vanilla essence
  8. Pour the gelatine mixture into the well in the icing sugar
  9. Mix until all of the icing sugar is combined with the mixture
  10. Knead the icing until it is well combined and smooth
