Crock Pot General Tsaos Dump Chicken Slow Cooker Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts 1/2 cup water
- 3 tbsp hoisen sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1/4 tsp dry ginger
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper (more or less to liking)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Method
- Mix the sugar, sauces, ketchup, ginger and red pepper in a bowl
- Spray the crock pot using a cooking spray and place the chicken breasts in the crock pot
- Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts and cook on low for about 6 hours
- Transfer the chicken onto a board and slice into chunks
- Stir in the cornstarch to the sauce and whisk well
- Place the chicken breasts into the crock pot and leave for another 15 minutes to heat through
- Serve with rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds if required
