Cream Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 1
  • 2 cups sifted cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Eggs – well beaten
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  1. Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt, and sift together three times.
  2. Add sugar gradually to eggs, and beat well.
  3. Add flour, alternately with cream, a small amount at a time.
  4. Beat after each addition until smooth.
  5. Add vanilla.
  6. Bake in greased pan, 8x8x2 inches, in moderate oven (350 degrees) 50 minutes.
  7. Spread Chocolate Butter Frosting on top and sides of cake.
