Classic Meat Loaf Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (900 g) extra-lean ground beef
  • ½ cup (120 ml) egg substitute
  • 2/3 cup (53 g) quick-cooking or rolled oats
  • 2 tbsps (15 g) low-salt onion soup mix
  • ½ cup (120 g) low-salt ketchup, divided

Method

  1. Combine ground beef, egg substitute, oats, soup mix, and all but 2 tablespoons (30 g) ketchup
  2. Shape into loaf and place in slow cooker
  3. Top with remaining 2 tablespoons (30 g) ketchup
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 2 to 4 hours
  5. Yield: 8 servings
  6. Per serving: 96 g water; 318 calories (58% from fat, 31% from protein, 11% from carb)
