Whole Wheat Bread Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 475 ml skim milk, warmed to 115°F 46°C
- 2 tbsps (28 ml) canola oil
- ¼ cup (60 g) brown sugar
- 2¾ teaspoons (7 g) yeast
- 2½ cups (300 g) whole wheat flour
- 1¼ cups (171 g) bread flour
Method
- Mix together milk, oil, brown sugar, yeast, and half of each flour with electric mixer
- Stir in the remaining flour
- Place dough is greased bread or cake pan
- Cover with greased foil
- Place in cooker, cover, and cook on high 2½ to 3 hours
- Let stand 10 minutes before removing from pan
- Yield: 8 servings
- Per serving: 62 g water; 291 calories (14% from fat, 14% from protein, 71% from carb)
