Barbecued Meatballs Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (900 g) meatballs, basic or turkey
  • 1 cup (240 g) low-salt ketchup
  • ½ cup (115 g) brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon liquid smoke
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup (80 g) chopped onion

Method

  1. Place frozen meatballs in slow cooker
  2. Cover and cook on high as you mix the remaining ingredients
  3. Pour ketchup mixture over meatballs
  4. Stir, cover, and continue cooking on high for 1 hour
  5. Stir, turn to low, and cook 6 to 9 hours
  6. Yield: 6 servings
  7. Per serving: 131 g water; 439 calories (41% from fat, 24% from protein, 35% from carb)
