Ingredients
- 1 c. Navy (eye) beans
- 1 sm. cabbage
- 1 c. diced potatoes or sm. elbow macaroni
- 2 pkgs. frozen kale
- 1 pkg. chorico
- 1-2 pkgs. shank meat
- salt to taste.
Method
- Fill 8 quart pan with water 3/4 full
- Add beans and cook until tender, about 1 1/2 hours
- Add chorico and meat, cook another hour
- Add cabbage, potatoes or elbow macaroni and cook 1/2 hour
- Add kale and cook an additional 15 minutes
- Add salt to taste
